Faculty & Friends: Balance and Swing

April 25 @ 4:30 pm

The Center for Musical Arts faculty is second to none — each instructor is talented, engaging, and incredibly passionate about music. In this series of videos (and eventually live performances), faculty members and friends of the Center get the chance to take the spotlight and demonstrate their skills and personality. Tune in to get to know our Faculty & Friends — and if you like what you hear, consider making a donation to support the Center!

Sunday, April 25, 4:30 PM

Tina Gugeler, dulcimer (Center of Musical Arts faculty)
John Reading, piano (friend of the Center)
Sue Reading, fiddle (friend of the Center)
The Faculty & Friends concert series currently takes place online; watch this page for a link to the performance.

John and Sue Reading (piano, fiddle) and Center faculty member Tina Gugeler (hammered dulcimer) have been playing together as Balance and Swing since 1993, performing hundreds of gigs including contra dances, waltz nights, weddings, concerts, festivals and more. Balance and Swing’s favorite type of music to play is traditional Celtic and American folk dance tunes and an occasional popular tune.
