Biography

Jennifer earned her bachelor’s in music and studied for many years at the Center for Musical Arts with Alex Sierra. She was further shaped by her college mentor, Melissa Lubecke, and by her father, who was her first music teacher and the one who introduced her to the world of music. A pianist, choir director, and cantor at several Catholic churches in the area, Jennifer is also an active singer and songwriter. She teaches because music has brought her connection, love, emotion, and purpose. As she puts it, “Music became my world—the way I connect, heal, and express who I am.” Jennifer works with students of all ages and encourages them to discover who they are through the process of learning music. “Creating music can be deeply personal,” she says, “and it’s through that process that students can truly find themselves.”

Her teaching philosophy is best captured by the words of Pablo Casals:

“Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart.”
