Community Open House
September 28 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeStop by the Center for Musical Arts to put a little music in your life! Join us for an interactive day of music-making and fun. Whether you participate or simply listen, there are plenty of opportunities to experience the joy of music.
Making music together makes us better humans by reducing stress and anxiety and boosting our mood; it also helps to create a better community through the shared joy of dancing and singing, sharing the language of music, and appreciating different cultures.
Join us for an afternoon of family-friendly fun including:
- Play musical games including Pin the Hearing Aid on Beethoven, Musical Cupcakes, Who-Can-Hold-a-Note-the-Longest, and Guess the Instrument that You Hear
- Sing along to some of your favorite American songs led by our Lifesong Chorus, or join in as a family for our Kids’ Choir sing-along
- Jump into folk dancing or try your hand at drumming in a rhythm jam
- Join in a piano mini-marathon or bring your own song and step up to our open mic
- Enjoy food from The Walking Taco and Eats and Sweets
- Don your dancing shoes and join our Swing Dance Spectacular starting at 6 pm
