Ellis Island Stories
March 8 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$17
ELLIS ISLAND STORIES is a live play, based on the oral history project at the Statue of Liberty National Monument/Ellis Island National Immigration Museum and was performed at the museum daily for 8 years (1992-2000) while the company’s Producing Artistic Director, Amy Feinberg, was working there as her “day job” as a National Park ranger. It has toured the NY Region and national festivals over the past 30 years and has continued to grow and evolve, most recently adding a modern immigrant story of Mexican decent to the mix and now it transforms again with musical elements in collaboration with the Center for Musical Arts. The show is performed with a panel discussion following its presentation.
