His teaching philosophy is that whether or not students continue on with music, there is so much to learn from music that can apply to any aspect of our lives: Learning how to learn, communicating with others, finding joy and satisfaction in overcoming difficult hurdles, and cultivating creativity and curiosity. Charlie enjoys playing pickleball and cooking with his wife in his spare time.
