A statement from the Ivalas Quartet:
We are so excited to be presenting some of our favorite composers, most notably two young American composers that are going above and beyond in their craft: Carlos Simon and Jessie Montgomery. To celebrate the art of string quartet we have also curated the program to include a piece by Haydn (Op. 77 No. 2), the “grandfather” of the string quartet. We are also thrilled to bring back one of our favorite movements from George Walker’s first quartet, “Lyric.”

The concert is free and open to the public. Audience members must wear a mask, vaccinated or not. Doors open at 6:30pm.
