About Radu Ratoi
Praised for his originality, versatility, and virtuosity, Radu Ratoi is an award-winning accordionist redefining the possibilities of his instrument. He is the winner of more than 60 national and international awards, including the 2024 YCA “Susan Wadsworth” International Auditions in New York and the Léonie Sonning Talent Prize, Denmark’s most esteemed music award. Since 2024, Ratoi has served as a soloist with the National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova and is the only accordionist to have won the world’s six most important competitions in both classical and entertainment music. A pioneer in expanding the accordion repertoire, he has arranged works by J.S. Bach, D. Scarlatti, and F. Liszt and has performed at leading venues including the Berlin Philharmonie, Radio Concert House Copenhagen, and Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall.
About Alexandra Tirsu
Internationally recognized violinist Alexandra Tirsu is celebrated for her expressive artistry and award-winning performances. A 3rd Prize and Audience Award winner at the prestigious 2021 ARD International Music Competition, Tirsu is a laureate of the 2018 Seoul International Music Competition and the 2014 Osaka International Music Competition. She studied in Vienna with Pavel Vernikov and later continued her studies under Janine Jansen in Sion. Tirsu has performed with leading orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Munich Chamber Orchestra, and at major venues such as the Vienna Konzerthaus, Berlin Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and Seoul Arts Center. She plays the 1717 “Reifenberg” Stradivari, generously on loan through The Stradivari Society.
