Biography

An active professional musician, teacher, and activist, Colorado violinist Jordan Grantonic
merges these passions through performance and . Drawn to contemporary music especially,
Jordan has performed in dozens of world premieres by composers like Pierre Boulez, Leilehua
Lanzilotti, Curtis Stewart, and Yvette Young. Recent projects and performances include a string
trio recording residency at the famed TANK Center for Sonic Arts with Colorado composer Alan
Mackwell and a summer fellowship at the 2025 Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra in
Lucerne, Switzerland. Jordan is also a member of the Boulder Chamber Orchestra and regularly
performs with several regional orchestras.

Jordan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University, and a Master’s degree and
Artist Diploma from the University of Colorado Boulder. Past mentors include Alex Gonzalez,
Andrea Segar, Joseph Kromholz, Michael Strauss, Irina Muresanu, and Lynn Chang. When
she’s not playing the violin, Jordan enjoys running up and around mountains, painting, baking
bread, and bothering her two (mostly) toothless cats.
