Singer-songwriter Karen Horan believes everyone has songs inside them. With a blend of inspiration and grounded guidance, she loves empowering others to unearth their truth and set their songs free.

Karen’s songwriting journey began at The Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Song School, where she learned from renowned singer-songwriters like Tom Paxton, Mary Gauthier, and Steve Seskin. Ongoing mentoring from Grammy-nominated Sally Barris in Nashville and nationally acclaimed, Colorado-based singer-songwriter Rebecca Folsom has enriched Karen’s understanding and passion for songcraft. She encourages a focus on personal experiences and emotions in lyrics to uncover stories and express feelings, embodying the idea that all you need to begin are three chords and the truth.

Karen’s musical path started later in life, driven by a wake-up call after the sudden death of a close friend. This reminder of life’s impermanence ignited her lifelong dream to write, share songs, and teach. Karen released her first album, “Bloodline”, in 2020 and is currently working on her second album
