Biography
Pianist Tamara Goldstein enjoys a wide-ranging career as a chamber musician, educator, and recitalist. From a musical family, she received her early training at the pre-college divisions of the Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School before earning performance degrees at Indiana University (BM), The Juilliard School (MM), and the University of Colorado at Boulder (DMA). Since 1999, Tamara has been on the collaborative piano staff of the Aspen Music Festival and School, assisting renowned string faculty and coaching and performing with gifted students.
Tamara has travelled with recital partners for performance and teaching engagements on five continents and has served as a presenter, adjudicator, and performer at numerous national and international conferences. She is currently adjunct faculty at the Lamont School of Music, at DU. Drawn to entrepreneurial projects, Tamara curated and produced twelve interdisciplinary multi-day symposiums during her lengthy tenure as Associate Professor and Chair of Keyboard Studies at MSU-Denver.
Tamara moved to Boulder from NYC in the early ‘90s. She has been an active figure on the Colorado classical music scene ever since and received enthusiastic acclaim for her many appearances as concerto soloist with regional orchestras. She has served as pianist with Central City Opera, Colorado Symphony & Chorus, Colorado Children’s Chorale, St. Martin’s Chamber Choir, Colorado Opera Troupe, among many others.
