Build Confidence, Overcome Stage Fright, and Have a Ball by Joining a Group Performance Class at the Center for Musical Arts in Lafayette, Colorado

Have you ever felt drawn to musical theater? Do you sing around the house and wonder what it would be like to join a group of others who love musical theater, too? Or maybe you loved performing when you were younger, but haven’t had an opportunity to step into the spotlight for some time. Either way: these are the classes for you!

There’s something really special about coming together with a group of fun-loving, creative, and supportive people to develop performance skills. The Center for Musical Arts’ new classes, Broadway Bloomers and How to Act a Song, are focused exactly on that: you will learn how to perform in a safe and welcoming environment, and have a great time while you’re at it!

Yes, you will overcome stage fright (many of us have done it!) Yes, you’ll get to sing some of your favorite musical theater songs, sometimes in costume, always on a stage, with other musicians! Of course, you’ll also forge close connections with the other people in the class because theater tends to nourish deep, long-lasting bonds.

Perhaps most importantly, you’ll develop self-confidence and learn to manage the very natural feelings and physical sensations that arise related to standing up in front of a group of people and performing. You’ll finish the semester feeling like a shining star.
