Washington D.C. raised and Boulder-based artist Nate Rothenberg has carved a unique and distinguished path through the Colorado music industry. As an avid free-lance musician, in-demand private music instructor, and an established marketing and development professional – Nate thrives balancing the complex and challenging elements that come with living a multi-faceted lifestyle.
As an artist, Nate enjoys both the technical challenges that solo performances offer and the collaboration involved within a chamber or large ensemble. Nate has performed with the Boulder Symphony, Columbia Orchestra, all of the University of Colorado Wind Bands, and in addition, he has presented both solo and brass quintet recitals within the Boulder community. While Nate enjoys performing in varied settings, his passion for music is not exclusive to the stage. He is similarly devoted to teaching brass pedagogy and is an active faculty member at the Center for Musical Arts in Lafayette, CO, where he teaches trumpet, trombone, euphonium, and tuba.
During the week, Nate is the Marketing & Development Coordinator for the Colorado Music Festival & Center for Musical Arts, where he works full-time helping to put together a 6-week world-class music festival in Boulder, Colorado. On the weekends, Nate can be found exploring the front range, binge-watching Netflix documentaries, and continually working on composing and producing his own electronic music.
Nate received his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Music Performance: Brass (Warner Imig College of Music), a minor in Business with an emphasis in Management & Innovation (Leeds School of Business), and a Certificate in Music Entrepreneurship.
